Raub Curry & Cafe

Been here the 2nd time because previously I tried coming an hour before their closing hour for my supper, but it turns out is not the right choice because they told me the kitchen is closed, only a few limited choices such as drinks or their desserts are available. So I cancelled and try again the next time earlier. The Nasi Lemak fried Chicken is delicious. Crispy skin with the right amount of flavoured nasi lemak, ikan bilis with the sambal. Curry Mee is also a another flavourful dish. Portion is just right with all the ingredients amount in the bowl. Drinks such as Carrot Juice and Apple Juice are common, they serve it in a plastic cup, takeaway style or just an easy task for them to toss it after is done without any washing hassleness. Overall, I haven't found any unique or any signature dish at the cafe's menu. Probably there is but is not obvious maybe.

Ordered roti canai here and was too oily, also their tea tasted very sweet

I had such a satisfying experience here! The food was bursting with flavor from the rich and spicy creamy noodle soup (Mee Curry) with its perfect balance of textures to the beautifully plated nasi lemak, which was both hearty and comforting. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, the sambal had just the right kick, and every component on the plate complemented the other. BEST Nasi Lemak I ever tried. The drinks were refreshing too the iced matcha latte was smooth and not overly sweet, just how I like it. The ambiance was cozy and relaxed, perfect for enjoying a good meal. Staff were friendly and service was efficient. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu. Highly recommended!

Had the "Nasi Lemak" with curry chicken and "Curry Laksa". The curry was tasty with the right amount of spice and spiciness. The nasi can do with a little more "lemak". It's a nice place to chill. Coffee was good.

It is the best nasi lemak I had recently! So much better than Nasi Lemak Burung something. The chicken is freshly fried, everything is so crispy and went above expectations.

I just had my lunch with my family here. I love their claypot Briyani with chicken goreng. I love the tasty chicken and their Briyani with a lot of fried onions. Also, the anchovies from their nasi lemak are very fragrant. Service is good too. Will definitely go often.

Had Nasi Lemak Biasa and Curry Mee for breakfast. Curry mee was to my liking, with santan or coconut cream and spices just mixed right. Not overpowering. It came with curry chicken, dried bean curd(taufu pok), long bean , hard boiled egg and a fish ball. A traditional style curry noodle of the past which we can hardly find anywhere else. And no trace of MSG as I am allergic to MSG. The Nasi Lemak was fragrant with ample anchovies and a hard boiled egg. Would be better if it came with a fried egg instead. The sambal or chilly paste was not too spicy though my wife said it was. But there was an irritating fly buzzing around us as we were the only customers. Maybe they should keep the door shut to maintain a no fly zone. The ambience is welcoming with a variety of seating to choose from. There is more seating on the upper floor. Their forte is Curry Fish Head, which I have tried in their Raub outlet. I have tried it in the Damansara Uptown out but the fish was not fresh there compared to Raub. I did not try this here yet as we went for breakfast. I have also tried their outlet in Gohtong Jaya. Roti canai there was very nice as it was freshly made. Roti canai is available here too. You can DIY the Curry Fish Head by buying their spice which is on sale here. Plus various types of curry too. Great for gifts to friends abroad too.

This newly opened spot (just about a month old) really impressed us with its delicious food and warm hospitality. We ordered the Nasi Lemak Goreng, Nasi Lemak with Rendang, and French Toast, all of which were truly satisfying. The rice was aromatic, the sambal had just the right kick, and the rendang was tender and flavorful. The crispy fried chicken was also perfectly done. Their Hainanese Teh Ice was a standout, smooth, not overly sweet, and really refreshing. It’s so nice to finally enjoy a “healthy-feeling” iced drink that still tastes amazing! The owner was super friendly and shared the backstory of the shop with us. We found out they have a few outlets, and he even gave us free samples of their ice cream, the durian and pistachio flavors were creamy, rich, and a great end to the meal. That said, we did try some of the other menu items, which felt a bit ordinary in comparison. We hope to see more variety and exciting options in the future. It would be great if they added something like crispy sotong Nasi Lemak, especially since their main focus is on Nasi Lemak, it would definitely be a hit! Overall, a great experience, and we’ll definitely be back to see what’s new on the menu!
